Background

Leadshine Pty Limited [ABN 21 102 229 943] is the registered owner, proprietor and operator of Broken Head Quarry. We acquired the business in early 2003 from the Batson Family and have managed the day to day activity on site since that time. 

We use only the best technology and practices available in all of our quarry operations. Our highly skilled workers are committed to ensuring we uphold high efficiency, safety and environmental standards at all times.

Regulation

Broken Head Quarry conducts its quarry activity on site under a development approved administered by Department of Planning. The development approval was determined and published on 7 May 1999 and relates to a development application [DA 97/0465] lodged with Byron Shire Council on 31 October 1997. Our specific consent conditions and compliance requirements are contained within this approval.

We are also governed by an Environmental Protection Authority licence No 4860 and maintain water transfer licences and a bore licences which are required as part of our core business.
